STORY
The Creation story, from the book of Genesis in the old testament of the Bible, and the story of Noah and the Flood are familiar to all and have been the subject of artistic interpretations in many forms. This colourful musical version by the creators of ‘Godspell’ and ‘Pippin’ looks at the theme with fresh eyes, to provide a tuneful, entertaining and witty show. The characters of Adam and Eve, and Noah and his family in Act 2’s story of the Flood, are shown trying to survive in a world full of wonders and problems. They struggle with the age-old conflict between good and evil and discover for themselves how difficult it is to be a loving and wise parent.

REVIEWS
Big cast lifts ‘unknown’ play out of wilderness
The Herts Mercury Review
7th April 2000
'Great credit must go to Mike Payne, the musical director, for his success in assembling such a fine orchestra and getting a large chorus to produce such a good sound."
"Deborah Howsen’s beautiful singing voice was given full rein as Noah’s wife and she contributed greatly to the success of the final scene."
"Finally, I come to David Bullock as Father. Looking like a young Robert Mitchum, his stage presence was impressive in a costume designed and made by his wife Shirley. Much of the warmth and emotion in the show was generated initially by him, and the honesty of his portrayal was commendable."
