Oliver!

STORY

Oliver, an orphan uncontent with his serving of gruel at the workhouse, asks for more and is punished dearly, finally being sold to Mr Sowerberry, the Undertaker. Oliver runs away the very next morning, and is picked up hungry and tired in the streets a week later by the Artful Dodger, one of a gang of youthful pickpockets run by the thief-master Fagin.  He is shortly caught just for looking guilty while practicing pickpocketing. Nancy and Bill, ex-pupils of Fagin, soon hear that Oliver is ensconced in the home of a rich old gentleman. Fearful lest he give away their set-up, Fagin and Sykes dispatch Nancy to return Oliver back, with severe consequences...
